Meet the Doctor

Alvaro Rodriguez, D.D.S.

ENDODONTIST

Dr. Alvaro Rodriguez obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the IOM Institute in Mexico in 1998.

He later completed a postgraduate endodontics specialty program from the UAT University and obtained a Certificate in Endodontics in 2001. He then practiced for 16 years as an endodontist before completing a second postgraduate endodontics specialty program at Case Western Reserve University. In 2019 he earned a Certificate in Endodontics and a Masters of Science in Dentistry degree. The endodontic residency at Case Western allowed Dr. Rodriguez to receive additional training and focus on non-surgical retreatments and endodontic periapical surgery.

Dr. Rodriguez is currently a board-eligible endodontist and is pursuing his goal to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. In his free time, Dr. Rodriguez enjoys jogging, traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.

PROFESSIONAL ACCOLADES

Dr. Rodriguez completed research during his Masters of Science in Dentistry degree program. His research focused on periapical surgery preparations, retrofilling materials, and the use of CBCT imaging to evaluate the quality of retrofilling placement and density. His thesis titled, “Comparison of Void Areas after Filling Retrograde Preparations with Two Different Depths (3mm and 6mm) Using Three Different Filling Materials. Evaluation by Cone Beam Computer Tomography” has already been accepted for publication at Case Western Reserve University and Dr. Rodriguez is actively finishing his manuscript for submission for acceptance for publication from the Journal of Endodontics.
