Dr. Ouyang has spent more than 17 years advancing research in bone health and disease, supported by the National Institutes of Health and leading foundations. Her work has been cited over 15,000 times, reflecting its wide impact in both dentistry and medicine. She has made key discoveries about how our bodies copy DNA damages and other cellular stress to keep bones healthy and strong as we age. She serves on the scientific advisory board for the Journal of Endodontics, the flagship journal in Endodontics. In addition, she was an editorial board member for the Journal of Dental Research from 2019 to 2022. Alongside her research, Dr. Ouyang is a dedicated clinician.
