Lee A. Fulsaas D.D.S.

ENDODONTIST

Colonel Fulsaas entered the active-duty Air Force on 6 July 1990 as a General Practice Resident at Bolling Air Force Base, Washington DC. In August 1991 he was assigned as a general dental officer at Lajes Field Dental Clinic, Azores Portugal. From November 1992 until June 1995, Colonel Fulsaas was assigned to the 52nd Fighter Wing at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany as a staff dentist. Izmir Turkey was his next assignment from June 1995 until September 1996. He then proceeded to Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi to await training in the 2-year Comprehensive Dentistry Program, from 1 July 1997 to 30 June 1999.

After graduation, he was assigned to fill a vacant endodontic position at Travis Air Force Base, California for one year. His second year at Travis, he filled the vacant periodontal position. He earned Diplomate status in the American Board of General Dentistry April 2001.
Colonel Fulsaas was then assigned as the Dental Clinic Commander at Anderson Air Force Base Guam from July 2001 until June 2003. During this time, he was selected for a third residency in Endodontics. Colonel Fulsaas then proceeded to Luke Air Force Base, Arizona to await training from June 2003 until May 2004. He served as both the Clinical and Support Flight Commander at this assignment. He then entered his first year, June 2004 to May 2005, of the Endodontic Residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana. For the second year of the residency, he was assigned back at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. In September 2005, Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast and the residency program was forced to temporarily close. Colonel Fulsaas was promptly sent to Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas to finish his residency, graduating in June 2006. In July 2006, Colonel Fulsaas arrived at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia where he serveed as Clinical Flight Commander and Chief of Endodontics at the 1st Dental Squadron. He earned Diplomate status in the American Board of Endodontics in November 2009. Colonel Fulsaas is married to the former Pauline Stetina of Patton, Missouri. They have a 22-year-old daughter, Clara and a 20-year- old son, Abe.
